CORE VALUES
Being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone.
Ephesians 2:20
The following core values define who we are and what we are committed to:
God's Word - we are a Bible-believing Church
We believe that the Bible is God's inspired word and the final authority for the rule of faith and practice.
Jesus Christ - we are a Christ-centered church
The person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and what he accomplished at the cross is central to all we do. Through Him, we have a relationship with the Father God and the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit - we are a Spirit-filled church
We welcome the ministry and moving of the Holy Spirit and the development and release of His fruits and gifts.
Worship - we are a worshipping church
We seek to enjoy and experience the presence of God through powerful praise and intimate worship according to bible pattern.
Prayer - we are a praying church
The principle of prayer is believed to be the engine room, the powerhouse of the Holy Spirit, which enables our individual, family, and corporate church life.
Discipleship - We are an equipping church
Our goal is to make disciples; motivating people to fulfil their God-given destiny.
Relationships - we are a loving church
Our goal is to love one another and to see that every person is cared for in such a way that they feel accepted, valued, and have a sense of belonging.
Outreach - we are an evangelistic church
Our goal is to reach those without Christ, both near and far, and influence our community for righteousness.
Relevance - we are a purposeful church
Our goal is to present the unchanging message of the gospel in a way that is meaningful and that is clearly understood by all, helping people grow in Christ.
Family - We are a family church
We uphold the values of family and marriage and seek to bridge cultural and generational gaps to create a sense of community and family unity.
Excellence - We are a quality church
We believe God deserves the best we have to offer; therefore, we seek to maintain a high quality of excellence in everything we do to bring glory to God.
Integrity - We are a character church
We hold this as a filter of all others. Uprightness, honesty, trustworthiness, and godly character are foundational in all we do.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
The fundamental teachings of this Church are reflected in the following statements of faith;
4.1 We believe in the complete verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of Scriptures as originally given. The Scriptures are infallible, inerrant, and the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13)
4.2 We believe in the eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
4.3 We believe in the creation, the test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis, his total spiritual depravity, and inability to attain divine righteousness. (Romans 5:12,18)
4.4 We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is God and man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18, Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6)
4.5 We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to his disciples and seen by others. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Romans 4:25)
4.6 We believe in the marriage of Christ and His Bride, the Perfected Church, prior to the second coming of Christ, and the essential message of preparation to His church for this event. (Ephesians 5:22 - 32; 2 Corinthians 11:1-2; Revelation 12:1-3, 19:7-8; Matthew 25:1-13; Hebrews 6:1-3)
4.7 We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation, and personal, literal, and bodily coming again the second time for His church. (John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Acts 1:11)
4.8 We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary, by which we obtain remission of sins through the shedding of the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11; 1 Peter 1:25)
4.9 We believe salvation is instantaneous, ongoing, and eternal. It is entering into, continuing in, and fulfilling of the New Covenant between man and God. (Hebrews 2:1-3, 12:25; 2 Peter 1:8-10)
4.10 We believe in the necessity of water baptism by emersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the name of eternal Godhead - Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit, in order to fulfill the command of Jesus (Matthew 29:19; Acts 2:34-39,19:1-6)
4.11 We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience at or after salvation, with the scriptural evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Also evidenced by a life of separation from worldliness and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as the expression of the true Christian faith. (Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 7:1)
4.12 We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit gives us power to be witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 14-36)
4.13 We believe In the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14 as was manifested in the Early Church.
4.14 We believe in Divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church. (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14)
4.15 We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called the Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32; Matthew 26:26-28)
4.16 We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil, and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10)
4.17 We believe in eternal life for believers (John 3:16, 5:24) and eternal punishment for unbelievers (Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:11-15)
4.18 We believe that there is one true universal Church made up of genuine believers, but this one universal church is also composed of many local churches in given localities. These churches are under the sovereign headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous governance under Him, administering their own local affairs and ministry, as well as the propagation of the gospel. (Acts 15:11; Matthew 16:18, 18:15-18)
4.19 We believe that Government is ordained of God and the powers that be are ordained of God as ministers for our good. To resist the powers and the ordinances is to resist the ordinance of God. We are subject not only for wrath's sake but for conscience sake, rendering to all their dues, custom to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. We declare our loyalty to our government and its leaders and will assist in every way possible consistent with our faith in the Scriptures as Christian citizens. (1 Peter 2:13)
